Jim has been the Co-ordinator of Mayo CCC since March 2003. Jims role is to manage Mayo CCC. This entails developing and implementing an appropriate management system that allows for the effective running of Mayo County Childcare Committee.

Childcare Administrator

Mary Conway
Administrator for Mayo County Childcare Committee


Mary Conway commenced work with Mayo County Childcare Committee in August 2003. Mary is based in MCCC office and carries out all office duties from answering the phone to dealing with general queries from the public. Mary implements the information actions, compiles the quarterly MCCC Newsletter and other publicity as needed. Mary also manages the accounts, administers the MCCC budget and keeps computerised records / databases updated.

Michelle Basquille
Childcare Development Worker


Michelle began work with MCCC in July 2004. Michelle provides guidance and support to existing and potential childcare services in the electoral areas of Westport and Ballinrobe. This guidance and support involves working with childcare services from these areas who wish to apply for funding under the National Childcare Investment Programme (NCIP), mentoring and meeting with Equal Opportunities Childcare and National Childcare Investment Programme funding recipients, and organising and facilitating regular childcare network meetings. Michelle also organises various training for childcare providers around the county.

Angela Cope
Childcare Development Worker


Angela commenced work with Mayo CCC in January 2007. Angela provides guidance and support to existing and potential childcare services in the Castlebar / Claremorris and Swinford electoral areas. This guidance and support involves working with childcare services from these areas who wish to apply for funding under the National Childcare Investment Programme (NCIP), mentoring and meeting with Equal Opportunities Childcare and NCIP funding recipients, and organising and facilitating regular childcare network meetings. Angela also implements a number of actions from the Mayo CCC action plan and organises various information nights for childcare providers.

Olivia Donohoe
Childcare Development Worker


Olivia has been with the County Childcare Committee since October 2006. Olivia provides guidance and support to existing and potential childcare services in the electoral areas of Ballina and Bangor Erris. This guidance and support involves working with childcare services from these areas who wish to apply for funding under NCIP, mentoring and meeting with funding recipients of Equal Opportunities childcare and NCIP funding, and organising and facilitating regular childcare network meetings. Olivia is also a member of the School Age Childcare, Childminding and Anti-Bias working groups.
